Rates for Transcription, Phone-In Dictation and Secretarial Services

Hiring DMC Office Services as an independent contractor provides your company with some great benefits. Outsourcing your secretarial needs means that you do not have to hire an additional employee; supply hardware, software, and office space; or incur tax liabilities. Your company is billed only for the time and extra materials (such as postage) spent on your tasks.

Rates

Rates are based per hour and total cost of the jobs are for time and materials. Hourly rates are billable in 15 minute increments.

Data Entry

Data entry services typically are entering records into a spreadsheet format, database or other application straight from source documents or copy and pasted from an electronic format and require no additional processing or decision making as data is entered. Typically, the ideal application is to capture name, address and phone number information for processing further processing in another step.

Mailings

Mail services that consist of performing a mail merge from a source file such as a database or spreadsheet and printing letters and envelopes, stuffing sealing and adhering postage.

Customized mailings will be reviewed for work to be performed. Generally, price is based on rate of $12.00 per hour plus cost of postage, paper, envelopes and toner.

Transcription

Generally, transcription is straight typing with little formatting required. The documents are created from  prerecorded audio events, such as interviews, seminars, webinars, conference calls, reports and letters.

Phone-In Dictation

Similar to transcription, documents such as letters and reports that are created from audio recorded from telephone calls directly into the phone-in dictation system are typed.

Word Processing/Typing

This category of typing jobs typically consist of typing letters, for mailing individually, prepare for a mail merge or generally typing services that are generally performed from hard copy documents.

$15 per hour
Proofreading

Each and every job is proofread for accuracy and correctness and basic formatting is applied for consistency in style and presentation.

Document Construction

Creating specialized electronic forms for filling in the blanks electronically and any type of work that needs more presentation and time. You may want to consider this as desktop publishing and can consist of PowerPoint presentations, brochures, menus, etc. for example. These are proofread and formatted as well and will be billed at the documentation construction rate.

$20 per hour

Payments and Billing

Payments may be made by cash, check, money order or credit card (via PayPal). Depending on the specifics of the job, a detailed invoice is sent monthly at the end of each month or by project. Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice.
